Blackboard 9: Making the Course Available to Students

Posted By Ruth Smith On November 21, 2009 @ 2:27 am In Blackboard 9,FAQ | No Comments

Blackboard course shells are set to ‘Unavailable’ when they are created. This means the course is not available to students but is available to the instructor. The instructor must make the course ‘Available’ when they are ready for students to see the content.

The Customization feature allows instructors to change the availability of a course.

  • COURSE MANAGEMENT –> Customization
    Available1
  • Customization –> Properties
    Available2 [1]
  • Set Availability –> Make Course Available
  • Select Yes
    Available3 [2]
  • Click Submit
